The importance of transactional emails
For corporate websites, forms are essential. In the lead funnel, they are often the last step. It is crucial that these messages are delivered correctly. Yet in practice, this frequently goes wrong. Especially within larger organizations, where more complex systems and strict security measures apply, sending emails can be a challenge.
Common problems
One of the most common problems is that messages end up in the spam folder or, on the contrary, the inbox gets flooded with spam. In some cases, emails are not even delivered at all due to incorrect settings of DMARC, DKIM or SPF.
This is because e-mail is based on an old protocol with no built-in security. This has created problems such as spam and spoofing, where malicious people can send e-mails on behalf of a trusted domain name. To prevent this, various security standards have been developed. Organizations logically set these stringently, but this can also prevent a Web site from being able to just send emails.

Continuous monitoring
Within Studio Brabo, we continuously monitor the flow of transactional emails from our clients. Periodically, we send test emails from the website to an automated system that analyzes the emails. This checks that the mail server is verified correctly and that it is not blacklisted. Each email is given a score, and if it drops below 6, we consider the transmission unreliable.
This system allows us to track trends and intervene in time if the score deteriorates. This can happen, for example, due to changes in the DNS settings of a domain name or if a mail server is blacklisted.
External tools as a remedy
When transactional emails are no longer delivered properly, we can use external tools to send these emails. This ensures that important messages still reach the recipient securely and reliably.
