Our blood flows for speed

How a visitor experiences a Web site is influenced by many factors. But from a development perspective, one is at the top of the list: speed. The speed of a website is crucial to its own success. Nobody likes a slow site - not even Google - it directly affects your findability. That's why we optimize our code to make sure your website loads as fast as possible, even with a high number of visitors.

Building on open source

An important pillar within our development team is working with open-source technology. For example, we use WordPress, a powerful and flexible open-source CMS. We strongly believe in following strict code standards resulting from this. This produces sustainable code that is easy to maintain, and therefore lasts for years. Multiple developers can collaborate effortlessly on your project with this approach, which improves quality.

Development disciplines

In short, website development can be divided into two disciplines: front-end and back-end. Each discipline requires its own qualities, but at Studio Brabo we have made it an art to merge the two.

Front-end development

What the website visitor sees is called the front-end. This is the code that is sent to the web browser and is composed of HTML, CSS and Javascript. We integrate subtle micro-animations to create a dynamic and engaging user experience, while staying true to our "less is more" philosophy.

Back-end development

The back-end is the data layer of a Web site. How is data stored and how is the right data retrieved on a web page? For this we rely on WordPress; With more than 10 years of experience, we know exactly what the strengths but also the weaknesses are of this CMS.

We develop and test all of our websites locally. This means that we never make changes to a live website without proper testing. Thanks to version control, we know exactly what has been modified when and can always quickly revert to an earlier version should something unexpectedly go wrong.

Smart customization that strengthens your website

For each functionality, we weigh whether to develop it ourselves or whether there is a reliable plug-in available for it. But often it's a combination of the two. We call this smart customization. Within our development team, we have built up a collection of reliable WordPress plug-ins that we often use for our projects. These are paid plug-ins, so we know there is a professional development team behind them. As a result, there are regular updates to cover security risks and add functionality. We know these plug-ins inside out, so we know exactly how to customize them to our needs.

Easy to manage with our own Brabo Composer

Easy to manage

We want our websites to be fine to use. When designing the look-and-feel, the visitor's experience is paramount. But during the development phase, we focus precisely on convenience for the website administrator. For example, you can manage content that appears in several places from one location, and texts on multilingual websites can be automatically translated into other languages. That saves you time and frustration.

Our secret weapon is our in-house developed Brabo Composer. We build on the user-friendliness of WordPress. So anyone - even without technical knowledge - can easily fill the pages we design with text and images.
